Broch Lottery Changes

We have decided to amend the prizes in our lottery statrting from 1st January. The new prizes will be;

1st Prize – £300

2nd Prize – £100

3rd Prize – Entry for two to a Broch League match.

Leask and Hay Extend Contracts

Tonight we have agreed contract extensions for Goalkeeper Paul Leask and Defender Bryan Hay until July 2024.

Bryan signed for the Broch in 2004 and Paul came to the club four years later in 2008. Like Ryan Cowie who signed last week, both will receive Testimonial as part of the deals.

Broch Chairman, Finlay Noble said “After the six lads (Willie West, Paul Campbell, Ryan Cowie, Sean Butcher, Greg Buchan and Jamie Beagrie) put pen to paper last week I am delighted that both Paul and Bryan have followed them. It is quite a commitment to sign a five year extension but hopefully shows that players are happy to be here. We are certainly happy to have them.”

Paul Young – 100 Appearances

Congratulations to Paul Young who made his 100th Appearance last night in the 3-1 victory over Keith at Kynoch Park in the Morrison Motors Aberdeenshire Shield. He also captained the side last night.

He is only 580 appearances behind his dad!!

Contract Extensions

We are delighted to announce that six of our current squad have agreed contract extensions at Bellslea Park.

Vice Captain William West, Paul Campbell and Ryan Cowie have all agreed extensions until July 2023 while Greg Buchan, Sean Butcher and Jamie Beagrie have put pen to paper on deals to July 2022.

Club Chairman Finlay Noble said “I think this shows the commitment our current squad have in continuing the good work so far under Mark and James. This is all down to the management team and not the Board. We are delighted with how things are progressing and are happy to hear that these players share our faith in the club. We hope to announce a couple more extension in the next week or so

Debuts and 1st Goals

In yesterday’s match at Deveronvale we had Scott Bruce making his debut for the club as cover for the Goalkeeping injuries we have at the moment. Scott actually became the 5th different goalkeeper to have played for the Broch this season. Marco Del Testa was also listed as substutute goalkeeper but wasn’t required to come on.

We also had two players scoring their first goals for the club with Grant Campbell opening the scoring and Ross Willox completing the scoring in our 3-0 victory.

Congratulations to all.
